why thank you i've been shocked at the number of young women who have *no fucking idea* what photoshop can do to a face or body. What they see in glossy, full page color is not what's real. Sad really. This was just a random practice piece that still needs a lot of work, but i was bored
i bet if the older woman saw this, she would love you to pieces haha. its an interesting thing, really, the idea of ideal beauty. back in the day (ancient egyptian times, for example) statues were made of women with elongated necks and longer straight noses with big eyes, because those qualities were considered more desirable at the time. thin blondes with perfect tans and bright blue eyes are considered beautiful in more modern times, but the difference is that with technology and photomanipulations becoming more and more photorealistic, people dont understand that while it may look perfectly real, it is showing edited and exaggerated features.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
